"As a knitwear designer, I carefully consider many aspects of form and function when creating new designs. But my primary goal is always the same; to showcase the unparalleled beauty of natural yarns.”
Alexis Adrienne, Chief Sheep
Canadian knitwear designer Alexis Adrienne is best known for her passion for natural fibres, and her unwavering belief in the power of handmade.
Her finished work has been featured in the OOAK Online Shop, part of Toronto’s prestigious One of a Kind Show, and her patterns have been featured in Ravelry’s Community Eye Candy, and on the Hot Right Now Top 20.
Although she enjoys working with a variety of colours and fibres, nothing makes her heart happier than a colour palette of sophisticated natural neutrals, and a project bag filled with Merino wool, baby alpaca, and silk.
When she’s not designing, Alexis Adrienne is a dedicated maker, LYS staffer, and volunteer knitting instructor. Right now, she’s out shopping for yarn.
